This module is powered from 3V3 and then produces 3v3 Logic out.
We recommend the sensor is between 1-3CM above the line and that the line is between 1.8-2.5CM Wide. Above the black line the output will be low and above should be high. This is indicated with the LEDS & The sensitivity can be adjusted using the potentiometer & screwdriver.
To connect to your Raspberry Pi connect 3V3 to the 3V3 power on the Raspberry Pi (Pin 1), Ground to GND on the Raspberry Pi (Pin number 6 / third down on right)
Then connect the 3 outputs to three logic pins you wish. We recommend you do not use 11,12,15 or 16 as they would conflict with our motor board. We would suggest 19,21 and 23. You can also connect 3v3 to 17 and ground to 25 keeping all 5 pins in one row.
If you need more power you can also use 5V into the sensor's VCC but still produces only 3.6V on the logic channels.
