To wire up simply connect VCC to 5v, GND to a Ground pin and then either DOUT to an computer such as the Raspberry Pi or A OUT to an Arduino or an Analogue to Digital converter.
You can then adjust the potentiometer on the back to set when it will trigger the DOUT or read the value from AOUT for the level.
We've found that when no gas is detected it pulls the pin High to 3.3V so it should be fine with the Raspberry Pi without a resistor. You may need to add a small value resistor if your 5V line is producing a higher voltage than 5V.
